The Mutawatir: Jurnal Keilmuan Tafsir Hadith is published twice a year by the Department of Al-Quran and Hadith, Faculty of Ushuluddin and Philosophy, Sunan Ampel State Islamic University (UIN) Surabaya Indonesia. The journal aims at publishing an original academic research on the main topic of the Quran and Hadith studies. The subject covers all related issues on the Quran and Hadith such as the classical inquiry of the Quran, tafsir and Hadith, methodological examination of the classical and contemporary scholars to the Quran and Hadith, contemporary approaches to the Quran and Hadith, the oriental studies of the Quran and Hadith, the living phenomena which is so called as living Quran and Hadith, and all related issues to the interdisciplinary studies of the Quran and Hadith.

Abstract

The scholars of hadith that every second sacrifice to serve their Sunnah is like the rain that never stopped watering the earth, like trees that never stop giving fruit. Anyone who wants to learn to understand the hadith with a good understanding, it should never leave them. It is ironic if we as students hadith the end is not yet in need of them, does not depend on them but rather learn hadith from thinkers who incidentally never glorify Sunnah especially koran. Among the Sunnah which is quite difficult to understand the Sunnah that among each other mentioned hadith contradict each other or mukhtalif. For the layman who does not have a strong faith would have negative thinking and may throw accusations to the Sunnah of the Prophet Muh}ammad as a speaker. Therefore, the scholars of hadith not remain silent in the face of many traditions who come to our mukhtalif. Abstract

The environmental crisis is a picture of a spiritual crisis that had plagued most of humanity due to the human deification to absolutize humanism above nature. Consequently, there was exploitation of nature in the name of human rights priorities. It needs immediate rescue through the vision of traditional Islam, which has perspectives of effective environmental protection and basic. Without the introduction and implementation of traditional Islamic teachings, it would lead to the long environmental crisis. And this paper try to explore the anxiety and conceptualization of Koran to resolve the environmental crisis, based on the traditional Islamic values derived from the verses of the Koran

Abstract

‘Alî Harb, one of the contemporary Muslim thinkers, whit a philosophy background, also crushed the renewal through hermeneutic methods and gather it with the French treasury to discover Islam groundede which appropriate with the development period and history. This paper attempts to peer into the mind of hermeneutics of ‘Alî Harb and its implications for the world of Islamic thought. And it is found a result that ‘Alî Harb understand the text as a symbol and each symbol can not be abstracted the reality completely. He tried to photograph the forgotten side of the developing ideas. Therefore howefer what he did is a valuable contribution in the treasures of Islamic thought.

Abstract

Starting from the problems that faced by an Egyptian female experts in field of nuclear reactors as well as a lecture at an university who divorced her husband because she refused her husband’s request for pregnancy/childbirth specially the question of divorce judgment “suddenly” assigned by religious judge based on “capping” women role only in domestic region of the family or motherhood (al-ummah). Abû Zayd then analyze the concept of women’s right in the Koran including its relationship with the polygamy case. At the end of the discussion paper, the authors citing the opinion of Abû Zayd that regard bad argument of supporting of polygamy parties whe base themselves on interpretations and interpretations of fiqh and argued on the basis of the conditions of contemporary morality. That polygamy is the best way, in the sense of it’s smaller dangers than the adultery especially when it is figured on the social-moral in the west

Abstract

The Koran is a book of Muslims, which of the information itself mentions him with different names. Of these names at least we can identify the function and basic paradigm carries for Muslims in particular and humanity in general. Every Muslim believes that the Koran is the holy book of miracles and can solve human problems and save them not only in the world but also the hereafter. Thus the Koran always pay attention to the safety and welfare of mankind in the world and the hereafter. This is the paradigm which is owned by the Koran. Unfortunately, the recent reality does not show it. Koran only a Muslim home decor and read without meaning. Soon, the Koran has lost its significance. Therefore, this article seeks to reflect the issues through a methodological approach. Reflection should show how to build a live reading of the Koran. although the writing still needs further reflection, I just hope it can inspire us to fix it

Abstract

Some things that are at issue in this paper is related to the history of the emergence of tafsîr bi al-ra’y, controversy tafsîr bi al-ra’y, and limits the tafsîr bi al-ra’y in the category of al-mah}mûd and al-madhmûm. To obtain a valid and accurate data, literature research method used descriptive-analytic approach, in addition to the historical method to get the ideal picture of the history of the emergence of tafsîr bi al-ra’y. The results showed that the tafsîr bi al-ra’y appeared in the range of the fourth century, where social change increasingly prominent and raised several issues that had never happened and questioned at the time of the Prophet Muh}ammad, s}ah}âbah, and tâbi‘în, until finally sought legitimacy-justification interpretation through the use of reason after not finding answers from history-portfolio earlier. In addition, the rapid advancement of science influenced Islam’s all intertwined with the emergence of diverse disciplines, as well as fanaticism schools due specialties practiced. However, the tafsîr bi al-ra’y accused by the pro-status quo by tafsîr bi al-ma’thûr as misguided interpretation, because the interpreter trying to interpret the word of God without based on science, so this interpretation is prejudice (z}ann)

Abstract

In the Abbasid period, the understanding of the Koran is still fairly freely, each reader has its own way to understand it. Freedom in understanding the Koran is ultimately impressed the wild, especially for those who do not master language of Koran. Therefore, at that time the scholars took the initiative to make the rules in the understanding of the Koran. Al-Shâfi‘î began drafting rules neatly in the form of scientific discourse that ultimately became a reference for commentators to understand the Koran. With his expertise, al-Shâfi‘î interprets the verses of the Koran by some combination of the two methods of flow on the body of Muslims at that time. The second stream is the hadîth experts and the rational. Seeing the importance of the interpretation of al-Shâfi‘î, Islamic scholars vying to compile the results of the interpretation of al-Shâfi‘î spread sporadically in his works, so comes the book Ahkâm al-Qur’ân li al-Imâm al-Shâfi‘î created by Bayhaqî, Tafsîr al-Imâm al-Shâfi‘î created by al-Shaurî, and the Tafsîr al-Imâm al-Shâfi‘î created by al-Farran. This paper will explore the history of the Tafsîr al-Shâfi‘î, al-Shâfi‘î’s method of interpreting the Koran, and the characteristic that distinguishes it from the others commentators.

Abstract

The Koran tells us of a father who has a high sense of affection towards his son, so it always came out the advices of full power of wisdom. He is Luqmân, historical figures of the past, a very wise leader who became a symbol of wisdom. He was not a prophet or a messanger, but his name immortalized by God to be the name of one of Koranic surah and has 34 verses. From this background, I try to explore what and how the strategies and steps undertaken by Luqmân al-Hakîm in educating his son to the quality of the highest wisdom. Searching around this topic lead me to the conclusion; First, tawhîd (Oneness of Allah) means to not associate with any of God and God is almighty Essence knows everything without any limit. Second, worship (‘ibâdah), is an effort to get closer to him by way of carrying out the order and away from the ban. Thirdly, akhlâq al-karîmah (noble). The message here is the morality of the ban to be arrogant and look down on others, walking with a simple and polite and gentle in speech. Fourth, teaching methods undertaken by Luqmân is maw‘iz{ah (advising), which provides advice as the basic affection without any threat or intimidation.
